MYC welcomes holy month of Ramadan

 MYC formally welcomes the Muslims' holiest month, Ramadhan, the month of sacrifice, forgiveness and repentance by launching an opening program last June 21 at the AES Gymnasium.

 There was a short symposium in the morning. Ustads Norden Hussain, who also happened to be the AES Arabic and Islamic Studies Teacher was the speaker.

 On June 19, 2016 the Muslim Youth for Charity Club shared their blessings to Muslim residents of San Pablo. The MYC president voluntarily sponsored the “pabuka” together with his officers. The satisfaction of the people gave them a relief and a great honor in their club.

Dreamers open S.Y. 2016-2017

 As a tradition to open this year’s academic classes in a special and unique way, the Dreamers marked another one of a kind opening program as they opened the school year with a futuristic theme last June 15, 2016 at AES gymnasium.

 Bai Zanda Sinsuat, president of the Mathematics Society and Elmo Yu Ekey, president of the Religious Youth in Action hosted the aforesaid event and attended by the students, alumni, parents, guests, school administration, faculty and staff.

Science Club holds annual medical record update

Last July 7-8, 2016, the Science Club held medical check-ups to annually update the students’ medical records.  This practice was first started by the previous school year’s Science Club president Sitty Kimzyra Montañer.

This year, the club invited two nurses from Notre Dame Hospital to conduct the check-ups. The nurses checked the students’ weight, height, heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure and body mass index.

CSC spearheads Amigohanay 2016

 Summer is already over and classes have already begun. Different personalities, new friends as well as new teachers are now part of this prestigious institution and as part of welcoming them, the Central Student Council facilitated this year’s Amigohanay festival headed by its president Xyrene Clarisse Ampatuan Emblawa together with their club adviser Ma’am Iluminda Abasolo.

  Amigohanay is a traditional event wherein new students and teachers are being welcomed formally with lots of exciting activities matched with surprised performances. The theme for this year’s event is “Amigos Para Siempre”. It is a Spanish phrase which means “Friends Forever”. This really shows the living embodiment of what a real Einsteinian is.

New comers crowned as Mr. and Ms. Amigohanay 2016

 The highlight of the Amigohanay is the introduction of new students to the student body in a unique way. This year, the new comers from different departments introduced themselves on the stage with their “I’m a Certified Einsteinian” shirts and creative masks. Finally, Athien Ampatuan and Ajnan Abpi were crowned as the 2016 Mr. & Ms. Amigohanay HS Department. They really stand out over the other new comers of their department. Athien also won the “Most Creative Mask”. While the Grade Seven newcomer Luis Vallescas won the “Darling of the Crowd” award.

 In the Intermediate School Department, Datu Andal Ampatuan VI, a new comer from the Grade Six class and Jyeshta Sinsuat of the Grade Four were declared as the Mr. & Ms. Amigohanay-Intermediate Department. Datu Sajid Ampatuan of Grade Four received the following awards; Most Creative Mask and Darling of the Crowd.

DREAMERS ranked number one in the Amigohanay 2016

 The Amigohanay is another way of promoting friendship and camaraderie among students. Games are played among different levels. Wearing of this year’s concept, the class color shirt coupled with a class color mask plus the attendance are some factors considered in declaring the overall champion. This year, the Grade-Ten Honor, the Dreamers 2017 was declared as the overall champion. Good Job Dreamers! Way to go!

 The Grade Two-Diligence and the Grade Six-Justice were the first and second-runner up respectively. The rest of the classes, although did not win any award, most importantly, they enjoyed the whole day activity of the Amigohanay 2016 - “Amigos Para Siempre”.
